A 12-Week Cancer Remission + Prevention Care Experience

Remission isn’t the finish line.

Renew is a small-group, 12-week cohort for people working to lower their cancer risk or protect a remission they fought hard for — led by a doctor who treats the terrain, not just the tumor, and believes what happens between oncology appointments matters just as much as what happens during them.

Why This Exists

“I didn’t set out to specialize in cancer care. I ended up here because so many of my patients were told ‘you’re done’ the day treatment ended — and then left to figure out the rest on their own.”

Dr. Howes has spent years walking alongside patients through diagnosis, active treatment, and the long stretch that follows — the part conventional care often has the least time for. What she’s learned about supporting the body’s terrain, lowering recurrence risk, and rebuilding resilience after cancer became the model for Renew. It’s the cohort she wishes every one of her patients had waiting for them the day they walked out of their last oncology appointment.

Three Things You’re Almost Never Told

“‘Watch and wait’ isn’t a plan. Once active treatment ends, most people are simply told to come back in three to six months — with nothing in between to actually lower their risk or rebuild what treatment took.”

THE SURVIVORSHIP GAP

“A clean scan isn’t the same as a body working in your favor. Chronic inflammation, blood sugar imbalance, and hormonal shifts can quietly shape the internal terrain cancer relies on — and standard follow-up rarely looks at any of it.”

THE TERRAIN FACTOR

“The dread that builds before every follow-up scan has a clinical name — ‘scanxiety’ — and it’s one of the most common, least addressed parts of survivorship.”

SCANXIETY IS REAL

How Renew Works

  • 12 weeks of education, support, and lifestyle coaching for those seeking complementary care.

  • Specialty labs specific to your case, ordered and personally read/interpreted with you, 1:1

  • One 1:1 session with Dr. Howes every month (3 total across the 12 weeks)

  • Weekly live group Q&A calls

  • A mind-body practice component woven throughout the program

What’s included

Renew complements the care you’re already getting. It’s not a replacement for your oncology team — it’s the piece that’s been missing between appointments.
